Jeremy Fryc, the sole developer behind Dexter Team Games, has unveiled The Abandoned Planet, a 2D point-and-click adventure that pays homage to classics like Myst and Riven. Developed over two and a half years in his Florida home, Fryc managed the entire project while balancing a full-time job and parenting two young children .

The game features over 300 distinct environments, all meticulously crafted using a Wacom tablet. Players navigate through a retro-inspired interface, solving puzzles and uncovering the mysteries of a deserted alien world. Notably, Fryc designed a unique base-7 number system and an alien alphabet to enhance the game’s immersive experience.
