Tab Search in Google Chrome Finds a New Home. Google is moving the Tab Search feature button to the toolbar from the tab strip.
Chrome’s Tab Search feature helps users instantly locate and switch between open tabs—especially useful when you have many tabs open. Until now, users needed to click the down ^ in the top-right corner of the tab strip to see a dropdown list of all open tabs. You can also press Ctrl+Shift+A (Windows/Linux) or Cmd+Shift+A (Mac) to open the search.
Google has now moved this to the toolbar, which can already be seen in Chrome Dev and Canary versions.
To make it easier for you to spot the change, Chrome may automatically pin Tab Search to the toolbar. You can unpin it if you want and customize or add other buttons to the toolbar by clicking the Customize button on the New Tab Page and expanding the toolbar. You can find various features to pin to the toolbar under Navigation, Your Chrome, and Tools & Actions.
